Here’s some news for iTunes music lovers too. Blogosphere is abuzz with speculations that at Macworld, Apple will announce a deal that will let iTunes to offer copy-protection free (DRM free) songs from the big music labels.
Currently, Apple offers some of its tracks without DRM, which it calls “iTunes Plus” tracks. Till now, EMI was the only major music label that was signed on to offer such tracks. However, if iTunes is all set to go DRM-free, it would mean Apple will add Sony BMG, Universal and Warner Music.
